A Note From Your Principals

It seems impossible to believe, but the -ber months are already upon us! While we hate that our year is already zooming by, we welcome the cooler weather to come!

For the first few weeks of the year, we have been evaluating our new schedule to determine if it best meets the needs of our students. Overall, we have seen a positive trend; however, we would like to make a small tweak to Kinder and First grade lunch and recess. Please see the new schedule for our students' new lunch and recess times! This will begin on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

As a reminder, September 18 is a district-designated Parent/Teacher Conference day. There will not be school for our students so that this time can be utilized for conferencing with parents. Teachers will be sending out information on scheduling a conference soon if they have not already!

We are excited to welcome back WatchDOGS to our campus! We're starting a new sign-up that hopefully will make signing up to volunteer much easier! Check out the link below in the newsletter to get signed up!

Logan's favorite thing at Herff is recess; he says, "I like that we can go to the soccer field." JoJo says his favorite thing is Art; he says he "loves to get to paint and draw." They both state they love PE because they get to do fun things like go under a parachute.

As friends, their favorite thing to do together is play tag. Even though they are not in the same classes, Logan and JoJo love that they still find time to hang out, like at our school events such as Greatest Show on Herff.

JoJo and Logan both say they don't have a favorite Herff staff member, because they like them all!

Lunch Menu Updates

We are excited to share an upcoming change to the way you access our school menus online and through a mobile app.

SFE will be transitioning from Nutrislice to LINQ Solutions for our online menu and mobile app services. This change will enable us to bring our menu services together with the technology we already use behind the scenes.

What This Means for You?

This change will take effect beginning with September menus. On August 31, your school's menus will be available through LINQ's menu platform.

Web Menus for School Nutrition is available for both Apple and Android users via the App or Play Stores respectively.

National Night Out

Join us for National Night Out on

This year, we’re excited to invite our neighborhoods to participate in our first ever centralized National Night Out Block Party! The goal is to bring our

community together for an evening of fun, fellowship, and building

relationships with our neighbors and first responders.
